NCA - Programs 4 Student Success

P4SS out-of-school enrichment programs are provided afterschool and during the summer to K-12 students in partnership with the Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD).

A dedicated Site Director oversees the P4SS program at each partner school to develop and implement high-quality, engaging programming. P4SS staff implement daily activities to support participants’ academic success and social-emotional wellbeing. Varied specialized providers bring unique, fun activities of interest to all participants.

The P4SS Program aims to:

  • Engage students in hands-on, project-based learning
  • Partner with teachers and school staff to align with formal academic work
  • Foster social-emotional development using the SEE (Social, Emotional, Ethical) Learning curriculum
  • Provide homework assistance/tutoring emphasizing reading and math skills integrated with all subjects
  • Engage students’ families through support programs, education, and special events

P4SS programs at CMSD high schools have a career development focus.
